Jervis Bay White Sands and Wildlife Tour

The pure and ‘squeaky’ white beach sand at Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay is known as being one of the whitest beach sands on Earth!!  This private nature tour will take you there to capture some of your best Aussie beach photos ever and search for Australian wildlife including dolphins, Fairy Penguins, seals and whales (in season).  Kangaroos, colourful parrots, kookaburras and other birds are also abundant at Jervis Bay. Take a swim if you like in the crystal clear protected waters of Jervis Bay, we will even provide the beach towel !

This is a 7-hour private day tour from 11am to 6pm that takes a small group of guests (max. 6 passengers) to experience the natural wonders of Jervis Bay.  Short walks will allow guests to see first-hand the plants and animals that call this place home. The tour will include lunch at a waterfront Aussie Pub restaurant, as well as afternoon tea at Jervis Bay.  Guests will travel safely and comfortably in a leather seated and air-conditioned four-wheel drive.

Cost

  • $199 per person (2-3 guests, minimum of 2 per private tour)
  • $700 total (4-6 guests run as a private tour)

Tour Days and Times

  • This is a 7-hour private individualised tour that departs 11am and returns 6pm every weekday.

Meeting Point

  • Meet Darren at the Kiama Visitor Information Centre near the famous Kiama Blowhole. Alternatively, pickup from your accommodation or train station can be arranged.

Fitness Level Required

  • Low to Medium – all walks are on marked trails and are mainly level with only some stairs/short inclines.  Bushwalks are up to a few kilometres long, with a total of around 3 kms of fairly level walking on the day.

What to Bring

  • Bring along your own hat; covered shoes for walking; sunglasses; swimming costume or beach clothes; warm jacket and long pants; camera/phone and a sense of fun and adventure !!

  • Transport in a modern 4WD car (max. 6 guests); guided tour and commentary (in English) by expert local ecologist; shared binoculars; lunch at a waterfront Aussie Pub restaurant; afternoon tea/Cafe coffee; bottled water and beach towels.  All food supplied has vegetarian options.
